September 16th - February 5th
Tuesdays and Thursdays | 55 hours total (Including dress rehearsal)
Ages 8-11 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Ages 12+ 7:30pm - 9:00pm
Session Tuition: $190/month (x5 months)
Epic: The Musical! offers an action-packed journey through the world of Greek mythology. Students will explore the bold characters and cinematic story telling this musical has to offer through movement techniques, vocal coaching, and acting training.
A concept album by Jorge Rivera-Herrans, Epic: The Musical! consists of songs based on Homer’s “The Odyssey.” This musical landscape provides the opportunity for young performers to interpret and devise a variety-style show inspired by the lyrics and stories from within this vibrant world.
Not only do students learn fundamental performing skills, they also build ensemble and community with one another, gaining confidence, and resilience through performance. At the end of the session, students will share their show with family and friends at Vertigo Studio Theatre, a professional theatre in the heart of downtown Calgary!

Into The Woods Variety Show
Session 3 (Spring 2025)
Step into the enchanted world of Into the Woods! In Triple Threat YYC’s spring session, students will bring their favorite fairytale characters to life through dynamic character development exercises and performance techniques. They’ll explore the humor, heart, and magic of the beloved musical, recreating its most iconic moments on stage. With a focus on movement, vocal techniques, and storytelling, students will build confidence, expand their performance skills, and put their own unique spin on the fractured fairytales we all know and love. The session will culminate in a variety show-style performance at Vertigo Studio Theatre!
Disney Villains Variety Show
Session 2 (Winter 2025)
Uncover the untold stories of Disney's most infamous villains! In Triple Threat YYC’s winter session, students will reimagine their favorite Disney villain and create a compelling backstory that explores who they were before they turned to the dark side. Through character development exercises, they’ll rewrite lyrics to their favourite songs, bringing a fresh twist to classic tunes. With a focus on movement and vocal techniques, students will build confidence, expand their performance skills, and prepare for an exciting variety show-style performance at the end of the session!
The Beatles Love! Variety Show
Session 1 (Fall 2024)
Inspired by Cirque du Soleil's take on iconic Beatles songs, students will be learning foundational performance skills set to the nostalgic soundscape. From the layered harmonies in "Because" to the grooving beat of "Get Back," Love presents the perfect opportunity for an immersive Triple Threat experience.
