OUR TEACHERS
Ms. Danielle Kennedy
Owner/Teacher | BA/B.Ed
Danielle Kennedy is a singer songwriter, guitarist, drama/dance teacher, and owner of Triple Threat YYC. Her love of performing arts began with dance education at Dance Spectrum Inc. From ages 4 to 18, she gained confidence in performing onstage through years of choreography, recitals, costumes, competitions, exams, and solos. In junior high Danielle was introduced to drama, learning that introversion and acting are not mutually exclusive, and her shell started to crack open that much further.
In high school, Danielle began singing with her sister who was gifted a guitar for her birthday, and she instantly fell in love with performing music. when Danielle got a guitar of her own, she found herself writing a song with the first three chords she learned to play, and countless other songs followed. Much like dancing and acting, she felt a strong pull towards singing and playing guitar, propelling her towards open mic nights, local shows, songwriting contests, and recording her own music (Danielle Dayton Music & Honey Eyed).
Danielle’s love for these three art forms, along with her experience in childcare, influenced her decision to complete her combined degree in Drama and Education at the University of Alberta. She has been working as a teacher for the past five years, and with the help of her family, friends, and mentors, the idea to open a studio dedicated to leading, encouraging, and mentoring young performers, is an idea that has been hiding in plain sight.
